Citizen Police Academy

Citizens Academy 2015
The Annual Citizen Police Academy
Ever wondered what happens when you call 911, what to do if you are stopped by police, or how much training a K9 officer and handler go through before they hit the streets? These are just a few of the questions answered during the Roseville Police Department's Annual Citizen Police Academy.

The purpose of the Citizen Police Academy is to facilitate understanding between citizens and police through education. It's an opportunity to acquaint Roseville citizens with the role of law enforcement in the community, providing an inside look at the tasks and challenges police officers face daily. The department hopes increased understanding will strengthen the partnership between police and citizens.

Activities & Learning
Participants take part in hands-on activities and learn about police use of force, criminal investigations, emergency communications, the drug task force, SWAT, K9, identity theft and other topics.
